Lacquered parquet, care rules.

Parquet flooring – a beautiful decoration of any living space; it is always prestige and durability. People prefer the tree for its qualities such as the newest production technologies, the characteristics of wood species, a lot of ways of laying limitlessly expand the decorative possibilities of the parquet. But remember, this material is live, it’s not a tile “put and forgotten”. Regular maintenance of the parquet is extremely important.

Care instructions:
1. rollers of chairs and chairs (if any) must be special, unable to damage the coating;
2. wipe the floors with a soft cotton cloth, clean with a normal vacuum cleaner or a hair brush;
3. Do not use abrasive materials during cleaning;
4. If you have animals in your house, make sure that their claws are always cut, and they do not bring mud into their homes;
5. It is also unacceptable to use hard objects – this will inevitably damage the layer of varnish: as a result, mud and moisture will penetrate into the tree;
6. It is possible to effectively get rid of pollution with the help of special tools – the so-called “clinics”. Their uniqueness lies in chemical neutrality with respect to lacquer. All major manufacturers of parquet chemistry have in their assortment similar means.
7. It is necessary to perform thorough manual or machine cleaning of parquet floors only on “serious indications”: if there are strong, cured impurities that do not disappear in the usual way;
8. in the rooms where parquet is laid, it is necessary to maintain a constant level of humidity corresponding to the type of boards used – for this purpose it is best to use humidification and conditioning systems;
9. in places with high humidity – for example, near the sink, washing machine and dishwasher, it is better to use protective decorative mats. The same solution is also relevant for places with the greatest load, which are subject to rapid wear.

Temperature and humidity level:

Optimal for any parquet is the average room temperature from 18 to 25 degrees. Overheating parquet is extremely undesirable. At the same time, perhaps even more important is the humidity of the air, since the porous structure of the wood is active, as it absorbs moisture at its excess, and it shrinks and starts to creak, with its lack.

Recommended air humidity in rooms with parquet floors: 40-60%. In winter, when the heating season starts, humidity often drops to 20%, which can cause the parquet to crack. In such cases, it is recommended to wipe the floors with a damp cloth more often, use humidifiers. Indoor plants and aquariums are also natural regulators of the microclimate and moisture regime.
